Samsung Galaxy S4 Vs Apple iPhone 5S

Last Thursday, Samsung released the new Galaxy S4 in New York's Radio City Music Hall. And rumors prior to the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 suggesting that it would outperform the Apple iPhone devices and help the South Korean tech giant maintain its winning run in the worldwide smartphone industry. But will the new Samsung flagship smartphone have any major effect on its fierce rival - the upcoming iPhone 5S? Here we will take a look at the crucial specs contrast between the two impressive devices:

Measurements and weight:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 137x70x7.9 mm, 130g
Apple iPhone 5: Apple's iPhone 5 is one of the slimmest and most lightweight smartphones on the market. It features a design that is a mere 7.6mm thin and weighs only 112 grams. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 5S will keep the same design as the iPhone 5 which means that it could keep these measurements as well. It's undeniable the upcoming Apple iPhone5S is lighter and more small-hand friendly than the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Display:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 5-inch full HD super Amoled 1920x1080 display, 441 ppi
Apple iPhone 5S: Phone 5S will have a higher-resolution display than the iPhone 5, potentially based on the new IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) material. But whether iPhone 5S will compete with the new released Samsung Galaxy S4 is still a question.

Processor:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 1.6 GHz octa-core processor
Apple iPhone 5S: The iPhone 5 uses an A6 chip, while the iPad 4 has a more advanced A6x chip. Apple's iPhone 5S is may step up to use this more advanced chip architecture. And we think the eight-core processor in the Galaxy S4 could be overkill.

Battery:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 2,600 mAh
Apple iPhone 5: The iPhone 5 does not feature a removable back which likely means that iPhone 5S owners will be stuck with the battery. The Galaxy S4's battery seems significantly bigger than the upcoming iPhone 5S's.

Software:
Samsung Galaxy S4: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
Apple iPhone 5S: While the iPhone 5 ushered in the era of iOS 6 with Apple Maps, Passbook and more, the iPhone 5S will more than likely arrive with the new iOS 7 on board. But I think picking which operating system is better is largely down to the individual user's personal preference as each of the two operating systems has its unique and innovative features.

Camera:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 13MP rear, 2MP front
Apple iPhone 5S: Camera in the upcoming iPhone 5S is rumoured to be capable of taking "Super HD" pictures. In order to take snaps at that resolution it'll need to have at least a 13 mega-pixel camera.

Storage:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 16/32/64GB user memory + microSD slot (up to 64GB)
Apple iPhone 5S: 16/32/64GB internal
Both devices are available with multiple storage options. If you really want to store a lot of media, Samsung is offering up its new HomeSync product, which offers users 1TB of storage via a streaming server.

Connectivity:
Samsung Galaxy S4: GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA+/4G LTE Cat 3; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4
Apple iPhone 5S: GSM/EDGE/HSPA+/HSDPA/LTE 4G; 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 802.11n on 2.4GHz and 5GHz; Bluetooth 4; GPS
The upload and download of either device will depend on the network carrier and location of the user.

Overall:
However, I think specs aren't always 100 percent accurate, which means it is impossible to know which is better till we've had more hands-on time with the iPhone 5S. Certainly the iPhone 5S is one of the S4's biggest potential competitor, its real enemy, which will appear in the second quarter of the year.

LG Optimus G Pro vs Samsung Galaxy Note II

The highly-anticipated LG Optimus G Pro is now rocking the world like a hurricane, and since its official announcement back in January, this high-end smartphone has already drawn enough attention all around the world. But is the LG Optimus G Pro now the current king of phablets? And has LG managed to make it sufficiently tasty to fight with the versatile Samsung Galaxy Note II? I think it is still a tough question now, so I have made below head-to-head specs comparison for your reference.

Design: Both phones sport 5.5 inches displays, but the Optimus G Pro is lighter and more compact than Samsung's wide Note II, thanks to the minimum side bezel. LG has gone with a narrower, elongated chassis, which is easier for one-handed navigation.

Display: The two 5.5” screens aren't created equal, as the G Pro sports 401ppi density on account of the 1080x1920 pixels of Full HD resolution, whereas the Note II has 720x1280 display with 265ppi. When you rip DVD to Galaxy Note 2 for movie watching, the image even not crisper than G Pro, but still perfect for advanced visual satisfaction.

Camera: The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. The LG Optimus G Pro seems to have an upper hand in this regard with a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera.

Operating system: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, which can be upgraded to version 4.1.2. On the other hand, the LG Optimus G Pro runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Processor: Inside, the LG Optimus G Pro seems to be more responsive than the previous Optimus G thanks to the powerful 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor under the hood. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2, on the other hand, is powered by an Exynos 4412 quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, clocking at 1.6 GHz. But when you watch DVD movies on Galaxy Note 2, it is speedy enough for providing you a seamless and smooth high-def video enjoyment.

Memory: When it comes to memory, both the handsets equal each other with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity. The storage capacity in Note 2, however, can be extended from 16GB to 64GB with the help of microSD card.

Connectivity: The LG Optimus G Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 feature HSDPA, HSUPA and LTE connectivity. In terms of wireless local area network (WLAN), both the devices come with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot.

Battery: The Galaxy Note 2 has Li-ion 3,100mAh standard battery to provide long-time usage, thus it is a breeze to convert DVD to Galaxy Note 2 for ultra-long time enjoyment. While the LG Optimus G Pro features a removable Li-Po 3,140mAh battery, which according to LG, is "the largest battery capacity in its class" .

Check below video to have a visual reference:

The Galaxy Note 2 is one of Samsung’s most popular smartphones to date, and the LG Optimus Pro seems to be a remarkable phablet as it is lighter, faster and better than the Note 2. So price is the key factor to decide a winner of the two. Now buddies, just make your choice!

Galaxy Note 8.0 Announced: Samsung's New Coming Pen-Equipped Tablet with Just-Right Size

Samsung Company recently announces its new 8-inch, Android tablet at Mobile World Congress, a large mobile tradeshow in Barcelona, and it hopes its new software features and the portable size will make it standout, especially against Apple's iPad Mini.

Size: The tablet is slightly wider than the 7-inch tablets on the market, including Samsung's Galaxy Tab 7, and is meant to be easier to operate in one hand.

S Pen: just like rest of the Note line, the Note 8.0 comes with the company's S Pen stylus, which is optimized for an array of baked-in apps, like Samsung's S Note and handwritten email software. And its S Pen is a good spotlight to attract people's attention.

With an SD card slot, a home button, and S-Pen stylus support, the Note 8 offers a level of functionality the iPad can't match, but it's too early to say whether that will guarantee it fame and glory. Expect this tiny tablet to appear worldwide sometime in the second quarter of 2013.

Besides the 8-inch 1280x800-pixel screen, the Galaxy Note 8.0 sports a 1.6GHz A9 quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel back camera (plus a 1.3-megapixel one on the front for video calls), 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage that's further expandable via microSD cards.

Specifications for the Galaxy Note 8.0 include:
8-inch display with 1280x800 pixel resolution (ppi)
Quad-core 1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos processor
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS
2GB of RAM
16GB and 32GB internal storage options
MicroSD card slot for memory expansion
IR port for TV control
5-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera
Dimensions: 210.8x135.9x7.95 mm and 338 grams of weight.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available worldwide in the second quarter of 2013. Availability and pricing in the U.S.has not yet been announced.

Is The New BlackBerry Z10 Just Another Samsung Galaxy SIII?

Just about a week ago, RIM (now BlackBerry) launched the latest handset in its BlackBerry range of smartphones – the BlackBerry Z10. And next high tech aficionados have ripped it apart to reveal the internals of the phone. From the looks of it, the new BlackBerry Z10 is very similar to a Samsung Galaxy S3. Does the new BlackBerry Z10 stand a chance against Samsung’s record-breaking Galaxy S III? Let’s give them a specs comparison.

Size and Weight: The Galaxy S III is longer and wider – but also a bit thinner – than the BlackBerry Z10. Despite being smaller, the BlackBerry Z10 is a bit heavier than the Galaxy S3.

Display:The Galaxy S III has a much larger 4.8-inch screen to the Z10's 4.2-inch screen, but they have nearly identical resolutions (BlackBerry Z10’s 768 x 1280 LCD display and Galaxy S3's 720 x 1280 Super AMOLED panel) making the Z10 appear slightly sharper in terms of pixel density.

Processor:The North American version of the Galaxy S III has the same processor as the Z10 - A dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Both phones have plenty of power under the hood.

Video Playback: Playback performance is smooth and crisp with both smartphones, but seeing that the Galaxy S III has the wow factor with its larger and more vibrant display, it’s the preferable choice for watching high-definition videos. In fact, it is very easy for you to convert Blu ray to Galaxy S3 for watching and play DVD movies on Galaxy S3. Furthermore, the pop up play feature of the Galaxy S III is pretty neat in the fact that we can multi-task while watching a video.

Camera:The Galaxy SIII includes 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP front camera, and BlackBerry Z10 comes with 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. Cameras are nearly identical!

Battery: the Z10's 1,800 mAh battery lasted 10 hours and 54 minutes of talk time, while the Galaxy S III's 2,100 mAh battery lasted 10 hours and 43 minutes. That’s to say, they even have nearly identical battery life.

Other Specs: The two phones also have the same 802.11b/a/g/n 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and near-field communication support.

The key difference is in the software: while Samsung has adopted Android for the Galaxy SIII, BlackBerry has gone its own way with the BlackBerry 10 platform – and it is on this that its product differentiation hinges.

All in all, the Blackberry Z10 seems to incorporate many of the component selections of the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE. Further, which one is the mobile winner in your mind? Feel free to sound off your ideas below!
