Galaxy Note 8.0 Announced: Samsung's New Coming Pen-Equipped Tablet with Just-Right Size

Samsung Company recently announces its new 8-inch, Android tablet at Mobile World Congress, a large mobile tradeshow in Barcelona, and it hopes its new software features and the portable size will make it standout, especially against Apple's iPad Mini.

Size: The tablet is slightly wider than the 7-inch tablets on the market, including Samsung's Galaxy Tab 7, and is meant to be easier to operate in one hand.

S Pen: just like rest of the Note line, the Note 8.0 comes with the company's S Pen stylus, which is optimized for an array of baked-in apps, like Samsung's S Note and handwritten email software. And its S Pen is a good spotlight to attract people's attention.

With an SD card slot, a home button, and S-Pen stylus support, the Note 8 offers a level of functionality the iPad can't match, but it's too early to say whether that will guarantee it fame and glory. Expect this tiny tablet to appear worldwide sometime in the second quarter of 2013.

Besides the 8-inch 1280x800-pixel screen, the Galaxy Note 8.0 sports a 1.6GHz A9 quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel back camera (plus a 1.3-megapixel one on the front for video calls), 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage that's further expandable via microSD cards.

Specifications for the Galaxy Note 8.0 include:
8-inch display with 1280x800 pixel resolution (ppi)
Quad-core 1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos processor
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS
2GB of RAM
16GB and 32GB internal storage options
MicroSD card slot for memory expansion
IR port for TV control
5-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera
Dimensions: 210.8x135.9x7.95 mm and 338 grams of weight.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available worldwide in the second quarter of 2013. Availability and pricing in the U.S.has not yet been announced.

The Final Conjecture-Apple iPad Mini Will be Released on Oct. 23

It is October and the news about the Apple iPad Mini becomes more and more, some released photos also showed that the maximum suspensive iPad Mini will hit the shelves soon. According to the sources, the unveiling of the Apple iPad Mini will happen Oct. 23 at “an invitation-only event.”

In last month, Apple missed its chance to announce the tablet alongside the iPhone 5. And the expected Apple invitations to an Oct. 17 event in honor of a mini version of the iPad didn’t arrive in in-boxes on Oct. 10. Now, a new rumor suggests that invitations to Apple’s grand unveiling will head out in Oct. 23. We hope this date is true and iPad Mini will soon be joining Apple’s lineup.

Instead of a major bash, as Apple hosted for the iPhone 5 launch—taking over San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and closing out the event with a concert by the Foo Fighters—it’s likely to welcome the iPad Mini with a much smaller affair.

The timing of an Oct. 23 event would also have the Apple-friendly effect of distracting from Microsoft’s planned Oct. 26 launch of its Windows 8 platform and Surface tablet. The iPad Mini—which won’t compete directly with the Surface but is nonetheless likely to redirect sales—is expected to feature a 7.85-inch display, front and back cameras, and iOS 6, despite the well-reported shortcomings of its Maps app. It’s similarly made out of aluminum and the screen is said to be with a narrower bezel and with the same resolution as the iPad 2, or 1024 x 768 pixels.

Apple is rumored to release the iPad mini in both a Wi-Fi-only and 3G versions, both coming in the traditional black and white colors. The compact tablet will allegedly sell for a very affordable price (rumors have it that the iPad Mini should arrive on the market for $249-$299) and still be noticeably larger than Android 7-inch tablets.

In an August research note, Jefferies analyst Peter Misek, who has been expecting an iTV and an iPad Mini for some time, described the future by writing, “We believe Apple’s product leadership, vertical integration and vast scale mean that it will receive the lion’s share of the economic benefit from the three biggest multi-year trends in technology: smartphones, 4G and tablets.”

We really hope the thin, iPad-like design iPod Mini would herald a new era for tablets world. But as Amazon and Barnes & Noble announced tablets that directly compete with the iPad last month. Whether the smaller iPad will win the fierce battle or not, let us just see!

Rumors about Apple’s New iPod Touch and iPod Nano

It seems to have been finalized that the next generation iPhone 5 and iPad mini will come one after another in September and October respectively. But the rumored news is far more than this, this fall should be an extraordinary timeframe for Apple, it is said from the leaked news that Apple also will seize the opportunity to release a brand new iPod Touch as well as Nano player to refresh its entire lineup of devices. And now it seems that there are more and more evidences to uncover the truth for us step by step.

The first news is about the iPod Touch, GizChina unveiled a new iPod Touch photo which is said to be its protective shell, seen from the shape of the protective shell from iPod Touch, it may change the fourth-generation streamlined shell as well as the four corners, and tend to become more squarer. Plus the camera aperture will become very large, and may be equipped with flashlights just like iPhone. In addition, the left side of the device has reserved apertures for unknown purposes.
With regard to iPod Nano, a Japanese website-Macotakara claims that the next generation iPod Nano will adopt strip design with the Home key and camera, the biggest feature is that it will be able to support WIFI function, which can wirelessly download the purchased music through iTunes.

This website also claims that the upcoming small-size version of the iPad will indeed be named as "iPad mini", and possessing Retina display and smaller data interface design. The screen resolution can be up to 1024 × 768 pixels, and at the same time, its built-in A5X dual-core processor has 8GB capacity space which is big enough for you to store your favorite music, games and video files.

Additionally, the Cupertino-based company is expected to launch redesigned iPod Touch and iPod Nano media players in September as well, with significant hardware changes and performance boosts.

Last September, Apple did not deliver substantially modified iPod touch or iPod nano models, but that should change this fall. From now on, let’s just expect to encounter the miracle moment of time and wait for the coming of iPhone 5, iPad mini, new iPod Touch and iPod Nano!

iPad Mini Will be Launched on October

Back in 2010, former Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that smaller screened tablets were not sufficient to create great tablet apps and would be "dead on arrival", so rumors suggesting a new iPad mini is in the works reveals a potentially new direction for the firm in its post-Jobs era.

As the Amazon Kindle Fire steals the budget tablet show and with more small, cheap tablets coming all the time, such as the Google Nexus 7, Apple may well want to launch its own mini tablet-iPad Mini to complete its rivals and grab the potential Tablet market.

It is reported that iPad Mini will have7.85 inches Retina display and adopt A5X dual-core processor. Seeing from the recent news, the iPad Mini will be released later after iPhone 5, while iPhone 5 will be released on September 21. The news indicates that the Apple may also introduce a new iPod player simultaneously with iPad Mini’release.

The latest news claimed that Apple has officially named this small tablet as iPad Mini, when it releases, the official name of this product is iPad Mini, such kind of a name is in line with everyone’s expectation. After all, Apple fans have been accustomed to calling this name. In contrast, the name of the New iPad makes people very uncomfortable when the third-generation iPad hit the market, many people still like to call it iPad 3 instead of New iPad.

The news also unveiled that the new iPod Nano will provide support for Wi-Fi technology, and supports cloud iTunes service. In addition the new iPod Touch will also have the iSight camera, which is said to offer amplifications for NFC function. Seeing from the entire second half of the year, Apple’s several products will be released and sold which will benefit Apple stock. The analysis say that Apple's stock price will be expected to shot up to $ 800 before the end of this year, thus will also consolidate the world 's highest market value status it already has.

According to analyst Ben A. Reitzes, the iPad Mini would not be a threat to Apple's current domination with the New iPad, and is likely to be a favourite among gamers as well as educational the iPad Mini may herald a new era for those who long for an Apple device, but simply can't part with an arm and a leg to buy one.
