Samsung Galaxy S4 Vs Apple iPhone 5S

Last Thursday, Samsung released the new Galaxy S4 in New York's Radio City Music Hall. And rumors prior to the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 suggesting that it would outperform the Apple iPhone devices and help the South Korean tech giant maintain its winning run in the worldwide smartphone industry. But will the new Samsung flagship smartphone have any major effect on its fierce rival - the upcoming iPhone 5S? Here we will take a look at the crucial specs contrast between the two impressive devices:

Measurements and weight:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 137x70x7.9 mm, 130g
Apple iPhone 5: Apple's iPhone 5 is one of the slimmest and most lightweight smartphones on the market. It features a design that is a mere 7.6mm thin and weighs only 112 grams. Rumors suggest that the iPhone 5S will keep the same design as the iPhone 5 which means that it could keep these measurements as well. It's undeniable the upcoming Apple iPhone5S is lighter and more small-hand friendly than the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Display:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 5-inch full HD super Amoled 1920x1080 display, 441 ppi
Apple iPhone 5S: Phone 5S will have a higher-resolution display than the iPhone 5, potentially based on the new IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) material. But whether iPhone 5S will compete with the new released Samsung Galaxy S4 is still a question.

Processor:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 1.6 GHz octa-core processor
Apple iPhone 5S: The iPhone 5 uses an A6 chip, while the iPad 4 has a more advanced A6x chip. Apple's iPhone 5S is may step up to use this more advanced chip architecture. And we think the eight-core processor in the Galaxy S4 could be overkill.

Battery:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 2,600 mAh
Apple iPhone 5: The iPhone 5 does not feature a removable back which likely means that iPhone 5S owners will be stuck with the battery. The Galaxy S4's battery seems significantly bigger than the upcoming iPhone 5S's.

Software:
Samsung Galaxy S4: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
Apple iPhone 5S: While the iPhone 5 ushered in the era of iOS 6 with Apple Maps, Passbook and more, the iPhone 5S will more than likely arrive with the new iOS 7 on board. But I think picking which operating system is better is largely down to the individual user's personal preference as each of the two operating systems has its unique and innovative features.

Camera:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 13MP rear, 2MP front
Apple iPhone 5S: Camera in the upcoming iPhone 5S is rumoured to be capable of taking "Super HD" pictures. In order to take snaps at that resolution it'll need to have at least a 13 mega-pixel camera.

Storage:
Samsung Galaxy S4: 16/32/64GB user memory + microSD slot (up to 64GB)
Apple iPhone 5S: 16/32/64GB internal
Both devices are available with multiple storage options. If you really want to store a lot of media, Samsung is offering up its new HomeSync product, which offers users 1TB of storage via a streaming server.

Connectivity:
Samsung Galaxy S4: GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA+/4G LTE Cat 3; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4
Apple iPhone 5S: GSM/EDGE/HSPA+/HSDPA/LTE 4G; 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 802.11n on 2.4GHz and 5GHz; Bluetooth 4; GPS
The upload and download of either device will depend on the network carrier and location of the user.

Overall:
However, I think specs aren't always 100 percent accurate, which means it is impossible to know which is better till we've had more hands-on time with the iPhone 5S. Certainly the iPhone 5S is one of the S4's biggest potential competitor, its real enemy, which will appear in the second quarter of the year.

HTC One vs Apple iPhone 5 - Phone Specs Comparison

Taiwanese handset maker HTC unveiled its flagship HTC One smartphone in Londonand New York Citya few weeks ago. And the Apple iPhone 5 has always be the leading smartphone since its first release. We are taking a look at the just announced HTC One and the iPhone 5 to see how HTC's flagship smartphone compares to one of the industry leaders.

Design: The iPhone 5 and the HTC One looks slightly similar from the front thanks to the HTC One’s chamfered edges, but both phones offer a unique overall look and lust-worthy materials. Aluminum is used for the construction of both smartphones, which gives them a very solid, premium feel.

Size and Weight: The HTC One is thicker than the iPhone 5, measuring 9.3mm at the thickest point compared to the iPhone 5 at 7.6mm, but the edges of the HTC One narrow to almost 4.3mm thick. The HTC One is heavier than the iPhone 5 at 143 grams vs. the iPhone 5 at 112 grams.

Display: The HTC One features a 4.7-inch display, with a 1080 P HD resolution, which is larger and higher than the 4-inch 1136 x 640 resolution of the iPhone 5. Without a doubt, the size advantage and higher resolution of the former will make it more desirable for power users and smartphone enthusiasts. When you watch YouTube videos on HTC One, the crisp image presentation will and wide viewing angels will guarantee you high-end video entertainment.

Camera: HTC made a big deal about the HTC One Ultrapixel camera, claiming that it can capture 300% moe light than a standard smartphone camera for better looking photos and better low light performance. HTC says that the larger pixels can capture more light than 8MP cameras like the iPhone 5 uses

Processor: On paper, the One's Snapdragon 600 chip wins hands-down. Its benchmarks will likely agree. Apple, though, prioritizes experience over specs, and it's hard to argue that the iPhone 5 doesn't blaze through iOS and most apps.

iOS: With the HTC One and iPhone 5, the former is powered by Android Jelly Bean with a new version of Sense UI running on top, while the latter runs Apple's proprietary iOS 6 platform.

Storage and Ram: HTC skipped a 16 GB option, but otherwise flash memory is even. Neither device supports microSD cards for expandable storage. The HTC One also comes out looking good here, with double the iPhone’s 1 GB of RAM.

Wireless: In regions where it's available, both phones support LTE networks. This is practically a given with modern high-end handsets.

Battery: HTC One packs with 2,300mAh battery, while iPhone 5 packs 1,440 mAh battery, both of which provides long-time usage, but HTC One is more

HTC has crafted an excellent smartphone that truly deserves its place in the high-end realm. Whether it is any better than the iPhone 5 is a bit early to say. But no matter what smartphone you will choose, it will satisfy you all.
