Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus with 4.3-inch display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S2 Plus smartphone, an incremental update to the previous-generation device - Samsung Galaxy S2, which is a device that’s almost two years old.

As far as the exterior design of the phone is concerned, it looks pretty much like the Galaxy S2, although it’s the internals of the phone that got a revamp. So what can you look forward to in the Galaxy S2 Plus? Well for starters the most notable improvement would be the fact that it comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on board, along with Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX. The “Plus” edition of Samsung’s second flagship device houses a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 4.3 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel HD camera with a 2 megapixel companion on the front. Unfortunately at this time there is no word on pricing or availability, but if we had to venture a guess, and taking into consideration that the Galaxy S2 is relatively old, it would be safe to assume that the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus will not be burning a hole in your wallet. The original Samsung Galaxy S2 was released in May 2011 and was succeeded by the Galaxy S3 the following year. The much-rumored Galaxy S4 is expected to launch later this year.
